Tour the Home ...
The Huffman House Bed and Breakfast, located in beautiful Craig County, Virginia, offers guests the unique experience of staying on a working farm without having to lift a finger. Feeling pampered and relaxed from the night before, you will awake to birds chirping, cows impatiently awaiting their breakfast and a babbling creek just outside your bedroom window. Fresh coffee, scones, homemade granola, homemade bread and jams, await you in the dining room each morning.
With porches, parlors, sun rooms and 61 acres to roam, the serenity will make you feel miles from nowhere while being only minutes from town. A dip in the baptismal hole is cooling relief from the hot summer days. Or pick up your favorite book again and get reaquainted with the old porch swing. Welcoming the opportunity to walk the fields with you, Ron will introduce you to the finer things in life that the city just can't offer.
The house has been meticulously refurbished by expert craftsman and builders. Many of the cupboards, closets and armoires have been built from old wood recovered from both this property and neighboring homes.
Throughout the house you will find antiques, uniques and special touches at every turn. The walls are filled with art from not only the local artisans but their own family as well. Window sills, tables and dressers hold everything from simple colored glass to extraordinary little finds.
Hand picked furnishings by Carol and Ron accentuate each room's individual character of previous owners of the house and reflect the times of the past. As you wander through the hallways and parlor, you will be transported back in time to a simpler life on a working farm.
